This is a difficult wine to describe for it's sheer intensity and power. I have given it a near perfect rating, though I must admit at this level it becomes a matter of hairsplitting to quantify such an artistic masterpiece with mere numbers.
Inky, black in color with an unyielding nose just now begining to open up as it approaches drinkability. Packed with dark black plums, black bing cherries, flowers, blueberries, mocha and spice. Huge and chewy in the mouth. Big weighty, and thick, but not clumsy showing ample complexity andand loads of distinction. I'd put this wine into a tasting of top flight Bordeaux anyday and even a seasoned expert would have a hard time marking it as a new world wine.
