100 Point Rating Guide

96-100 Extraordinary A wine of finesse, complexity, and expression. True to variety and region. Perfect balance of flavors with a long finish.
90-95 Excellent True to variety and region, with terrific complexity and balance. While not a wine for the ages, a superior example.
85-89 Good Meets your expectations, with sound flavors and balance. Might have limited complexity or be short on the palate. A sound wine.
80-84 Average Drinkable, might not have as much varietal character. Simple flavors, no flaws, but nothing special.
75-79 Below Average Might contain one flaw, simple straight-forward flavors, off-balance, unpleasant.
60-74 Undrinkable, Flawed Contains significant flaws. Unpleasant, not commercially acceptable.

Color is karo white syrup w/ a bit of honey. Nose is musty, old socks, jasmine(?). Tastes non-descript, hard candy on the finish - probably lemon drops.

Fruity full taste, a pleasant arom that stands out. Not too heavy or thing, a good balance.

Funky bouquet, gasoline. Sweet finish lingers. Tastes cheap. Doesn't feel like a sauv blanc. YUCK

Soft/clingy finish. Smells stronger than it tastes. Packs a sweet punch. (Kai)

Kind of skunky on the nose, and I couldn't really pin-point the taste flavors. Acidic and citrusy, but thought it was good overall.

Extremely fruity nose, like concentrated grape juice. Slightly carbonated on the tongue, very mild almost lacking in flavor. Brief finish.

Another pale blonde color sauv blanc. Nose is straight up cheese, a salty and very aged cheese, semi-soft and perhaps veiny. Tastes like it smells, like cheese! But w/ an acidic aftertaste (Diana Lee)

Lighter and more citrusy than the Nobilo NZ sauv blanc. Lemony, a sipper. But a bit astringent on the finish. Also, a bit effervescent on your tongue, possibly a flaw.
