This wine is lavishly oaked, and that was the first thing I noticed about it. Besides serious levels of vanilla laden oak extract, the wine displays a complex panoply of luscious dark fruit, and overtly powerful black-cherry cassis-liqueur like bands of flavor. this is no shrinking violet, and is best served to enthusiasts who prefer substantial amounts of new oak in their wine. That said it is a very good example for it's type and will surely engender a loyal following.
