I first tasted this wine in the early 1990s and thought it was extraordinary. Everything it says on the label about it having layers of floral, tropical, and spicy flavors is absolutely true. It holds up well with complex dishes and is particularly good with those tricky sweet and hot combinations. It also complements the basics like roast chicken. Every year I worry that they won't be able to do it again, but so far the quality has endured.
