The 2004 is a tremendous example of how beautiful and refined Petite Sirah can be when it's done right, This wine is a dense, inky blue-black color with highly aromatic notes of blueberries, chocolate, cassis, dark cherries and licorice. Dense, weighty, and tannic, yet seamless, voluptuous, and elegant at the same time. The finish is huge and lasts almost a minute. If you can buy this (less than 500 are cases made, and it is highly sought after by merchants and collectors alike), you should. One of the few "greats" in Petite Sirah, this wine will cellar like a champion, and drink well for well over a decade and probably more. It will become more refined and sophisticated with additional bottle age.
