I think the "Smoking Loon" put out a serious cigar in this Merlot! And....I like it! Smokey, spices, earth on the nose, cherry bursts....not bad for a cheap bottle.

Tired of reds, I tried this white. I wanted so much from this wine, but it failed to deliver. First of all, the nose was nothing but alcohol infused cotton candy. Next came the initial taste (ok, I had to give it about five serious sips) and that was nothing more than alcohol infused sparkling apple cider. There was a definite crispness that made my nose tingle and my eyes water, and that was actually ok to me. I enjoyed that part of it--maybe for its non-red appeal. Not bad, not great, and certainly not the best for the price. As always, Cheers!

Cotton candy on the nose....carbonation added a tingling to the throat....excessive raspberry, and total coater of the teeth! Whew! This baby is only for a hot summer's day, and it must be ICE COLD! Cheers!

The nose was like a wet sponge soaked in minerals. This wine definitely needs to be decanted--maybe 3 hours--the powerful punch of alchohol made my eyes water. Not much to taste due to the alch., but I did sense some black pepper and licorice. I think this one has potential given some time.....Cheers!

Being the "Natural Blonde" that I am, I couldn't pass on this wine. The label didn't live up to the stereotyped feel good time that should go with the name....because imbibing this Syrah certainly didn't lead to anything like "more fun" in my life....(you might have to be a blonde to actually "get" that). The aroma was extremely bland, along with the taste: it was like watered down cran-grape juice.
Being a natural blonde has never been less fun!!!
Cheers!

It might have been that I was down on my luck, but this Merlot was just the winner I was looking for......Cherry on the nose, with an oakey spice taste, and a strong tannin finish. This packs a small punch, and would be paired nicely with a hearty meal or Italian food. Cheers!!

The cork was like a science experiment: mold prevailed....got over it though, and swirled myself an initial glass. Everything was A-OK, accept that wine that I was guzzling in at attempt bring back the 80's...
It's much like a gerwurtz, but just slightly less fruity....and sweet....
This is a more/less (depending on who you are) easy wine: vanilla, apple, etc.
Cheers!

G'day! This Australian wine has a soft nose of berries, and is a definite crowd pleaser with chocolate and berry flavors that are incredibly smooth and easy to drink (....and drink...and drink...). Cheers!

I heard that "Casillero del Diablo" means "Cellar of the Devil", and I am beginning to understand why. First of all, the aroma was 90% alchohol. I got past that, but just barely. I was able to taste some spice, fruit, chocolate, and oak. Not a bad wine, but not something for my particular palate. It was a little too heavy and hearty.

Earthy minerals, with a sweet blossom of fruit; especially, cherries. Brilliant aroma as well. This wine could pair well with anything, but would be magical if paired with your special person. Cheers!

Major wine crytal clusters, he told me, were the first hint of a good taste to come. ...and hot damn, he was right! Delicious berry burst, with a nice aromatic mixture of woodsiness. Very smooth, just like my company for the evening! Cheers!

I received this individual sized bottle of wine from a luncheon I attended. It looked so cute and inviting; especially, with the ribbon carefully tied around its neck. Upon unscrewing and pouring and sniffing....all seemed right, but just "alright". I couldn't get a great smell and the taste was slightly watery yet oakey. Light berries as well. This wine is actually not a bad choice for seving in the setting I described, but don't buy a full bottle of this for guests.

This wine seems to be less than filtered.... with wine crystals stuck to the bottom of the cork, but.....BUT....from what I hear, that's not a bad thing. Upon inital sniff and swig (that's what the experts are calling it these days) my nostrils burned for a brief second and then the magic began....a nice wine that is definitely fruit forward, but with a slightly woodsy aftertaste. Black currant and licorice prevail. Give it a swirly whirl! Cheers!

Somebody call Germany and tell them that "Gewurz" should stop translating to "spice" and instead to...."cough syrup". Maybe it's just Fetzer, or maybe it's my large volume consumption, but I think it's Fetzer. I always had loved Gewurtztraminer until uncorking this bottle. Serve chilled, serve sparingly, if at all...Cheers!

This wine should only be served to those friends who want to avoid a hangover: the fewer tannins the less severe headache. A very light wine and also good for those who are trying to transition from white to red. Thanksgiving is the best time to uncork this light delight! Cheers

This is the type of wine that is great after those two initial glasses of expensive wine. Don't serve this to your "expert" guests. Instead, save for those friends that reside in San Tenessee......Cheers!
