Appearance: Dark red with medium-high viscosity.
Nose: Intense chocolate, vanilla bean, raspberry, and marshamallow.
Palate: Sweet but not cloying. An even balance of mouth watering acidity followed by a lasting finish.
Conclusion: Confirming raspberry, chocolate and vanilla bean. The taste definitely held up to the nose. Did not think this wine could hold up to its nose but it did. Awesome dessert wine! Never tasted anything like it.

Spicey dried cherries and faint funkness of leather. Forest floor and all that B.S., it's hard to describe but the nose is definitely pinot. Clean and for the money and a winner. Some 5-spice -- watery but, still some soft tannins and nice balance. Notes of black licorice on the finish. Probably the best pinot i've had for $12.99.

Fresh bread/yeast and some tints of chlorine, as well as green apples and caramel on the nose. Sweet toasted nuts. An ok nose, but a little flat on the palate w/ a quick finish. Ok, but nothing special. Some burnt flavors as well.

Deep black almandine ruby with almandine rim. The bouquet is delicate, with airy berry fruit supported by savory sea salt, hints of sandalwood, and hardwood smoke. Inviting. On the palate it's it's medium bodied, and bright, with savory red berry fruit supported by deft acidity and clean slightly brambly tannins -- the wine is aged in large wood -- that flow into a clean slightly bitter savory finish. Deft and elegant, it will go quite well with grilled meats and foods that have smoky accents, and could also be pressed into service with succulent grilled fish. (Kyle Phillips's Italian Wine Review)

Impenetrable pigeon blood ruby with garnet rim. The bouquet is fairly rich, though in the air, with hardwood ash mingled with cedar and some oaky sweetness, and moderate berry fruit. On the palate it's full, and savory, with moderate fruit laced with sandalwood. The oak is a touch too predominate and overshadows the fruit, giving what a fellow taster calls "grip," but the fruit isn't as there as I'd have liked. It also suffered the vintage.

Smooth nose, not a strong sense of alcohol. Nice fruit, rich color and smooth finish. I rather enjoyed this wine with a rack of lamb and would surely have it again. It was oaky, but, I like that in a Cab. I would certainly recommend it.

Smells sweet and very heavy, dense. Tastes like it saw a LOT of oak, or rather (at this price range), like a lot of vanilla essence and sugar was mixed in, then some oak chips plopped in the tank. One-dimensional and feels engineered to non-wine-drinkers. After all that trash talking though ... it is still very drinkable, just not my style.

grossly under valued. if this were a cab it would definitely be in the 90-92 point range. Great bouquet, Slightly tart but not acidity. Good finish. Fantastic with seafood. Better than a cakebread chardoney. Not a dry wine but not sweet. Doesn't have the spiders that a big cab would have. I could serve this with any meal. Goes great with fresh bread. Won't last mild tannins. drink now.

I'm not going to throw out cliche wine descriptions. I gave it a 90 because it is a great wine for the $. Usually you get what you pay for but in this case, Beringer's Founder's Estate 2004 Cabernet tastes much more expensive. Very smooth with no cheap wine aftertaste. You won't be sorry.

5 spice, tar, and leather on a pungent nose. Reminiscent of a seriously funky bordeaux. If stanky wines aren't your thing, avoid like the plague. Well balanced on the tongue with a spicy finish that lingers. An enjoyable rioja if you enjoy stanky wines.

Lemons, vanilla oak, and honey on the nose.
Caramel, yeasty, bursting with lemons and necterines with a hint of toasted hazelnuts hiding in the background. Wildflower honey and light butterscotch candy on the finish.
After a few sips, I noticed a lot of tart granny smith apple
I am not one to liek a big over oaked chard and this one has a nice balance of a bit of creamy oakiness, without being overbearing.
For an ABC (anything but chardonnay) drinking, I'd buy it again.

This sounds bad ... but all i can say is "not horrible". For 5.99 this delivers something acceptable. Some salt/brine/olive action going on....
On a more positve note, not digusting over-oaked and fairly well balanced. Some length and some decent mouthfeel.

Less refined Pinot Grigio than the norm. Aroma is strong yet not as sweet as other pinot grigios I've enjoyed in the past. Pinot Grigios usually taste fresh, fruity, and somewhat sweet, but this does not live up to this expectation. It leaves an acidic aftertaste in the mouth. Might taste better if paired with appropriate cuisine but not very impressive when sipped on its own.
