$11.99 at Kreiger's Ranch Market
Beautiful aromas of apricot and pineapple. The wine tastes like fruit coctail juice but with some acidity to balance it and less syrupy on the palate. It pair well with bakked brie wrapped in Phyllo dough.

The deep color for this Pinot Noir speaks to the dark fruits up front on the nose. Raspberry underplays rich red berries on the secondary aromas. There is also a hint of brushiness, almost a pine-pitch quality, on the edges of the aroma envelope. On the palate, there is nothing lacy about the entry of rich dark fruits, flooding the mouth with a perfect balance of acid and tannins that match the fruit and bathe every part of la bouche with a power that at the same time caresses the senses. The finish is long and lingering, with touches of mocha and tart red cherry echoing deep into the aftertaste.

$29.99 at Twin Liquors Round Rock Texas
This VSOP delivers a full nose of antiseptic and anise. On the palette you get a subtle sweet and round woody note with a dry finish. In my opinion, this product is a bargain that is somewhat comparable to VSOP Remy Martin and other entry-level VSOP cognacs.

Love this wine, I like sweeter and NOT dry wines. Found this at the hospice wine tasting this year and I am in love. Slight amount of bubbles makes this float across the palate. This is a great wine for a beginning wine drinker, you real winos would not like this.

This is a great wine for grilled chicken, pork, or light pasta with red sauce. It is also great for drinking on it's own. It is fruit forward with a decent finish. For 8.99, it's a great wine for which your friends will think you paid a bit more.

crisp, clean, with a sweet aftertaste. This chardonnay has a beautiful deep blonde hue, and drinks well alone, or pairs well with light seafood - shrimp, cod, mahi mahi, fluke, etc. this wine was clearly not oaked, so drinks more like riesling or pinot grigio than the more traditional chardonnays. range of flavors from banana, asian pear, with undertone of citrus.

$19.99 at Colonial Beverage
There is a post dated Jan. 5th regarding this wine. I suspect that Colonial Beverage posted the positive comments. They got in a very large amount of this wine and have been highly recommending it. I picked up 3 bottles as part of a case I put together. It was fine, not great but good. Not a lot to the wine - basic cherry/slight cabernet flavor. Soft tannins, very accessible for such a young vintage. I have no idea how they are claiming it was $130 a bottle. Even the winery website lists it at $21 a bottle. I'm guessing they must be comparing to other Spring Mountain wineries. Very shady marketing here! It was acceptable to throw in a bottle to help make up a case but not much else. I prefer the Buehler cab (at the same price) or Novelty Hill (at $5 more per bottle). Don't get overjoyed and sucked into their marketing gimmicks as I had. There is much better fish in the sea to enjoy.

This was a great wine for the price. Very drinkable and affordable. I will be buying more.
The first sip was uncomplex (as most) before it had a chance to oxidize. As it breathed a little bit more it became even more drinkable.
The best I can describe it is a dry wine with a dash of sweetness.

I was impressed with the complexity of this wine. It had a light mouth feel but lots of fruit present. It also had a slightly spicy peppery taste which I was told was charateristic of Australian varietals. It was very enjoyable and I thought it was a great value, extremely nice wine for the price.

This wine knocked my socks off. I was not expecting something this flavorful and smooth. Lots of big berry flavors up front that fade into a fantastic structure on the finish. I think this wine has a solid ageing potential for 5-7 years no problem.
I joined their wine club because of it! Highly recommend some of the other Pianetta Products.

This got a real good review from the WSJournal this weekend, 7/25, out of 100 Australian Chardonnays under $20.
It is crisp and fruity and balanced and has 12.5% alcohol. It is marketed by Franzia, the guy, not the company, Bronco Wines from Napa, the 2 buck chuck guy. This is far superior to 2BC, try it. Ask for it. Buy a case for $40.

The bottle says notes of pear and cantaloupe with a slight hint of orange blossom. I wouldn't know, my palate is not that sophisticated. I started drinking this because as I got older I found that chardonnay, cheap or expensive, gave me heartburn. Badly. This wine does not and Beringer has a fine rep for making good wines at any price. Their Chenin Blanc goes down excedingly smooth and the fruit flavors do make it seem a bit sweeter than its relatively low sugar content would suggest. Goes well with any light fare, especially in the summertime. Try it and you may just put away your chardonnay. And your Tums.

$7.50 at Beverages & More!
Technically, I purchased this bottle for $7.50 because it is on their special "Buy 1, Get 1 for $0.05" sale.
This bottle is quite possibly the greatest bottle on their nickel sale and I would gladly recommend it to anyone.
The flavor just explodes in your mouth and makes you want to go for a 2nd (and quite possibly 3rd) glass almost immediately.
Great value and great wine!

$37.00 at Hacienda Cava Antigua-Cozumel
This is probably the world's best TEQUILA. Cava Anitgua produces its product in the Jalisco state of Mexico but offers a 'factory store' in Cozumel. Cava makes an unbelievably large variety of tequilas in over 15 unique flavors including mocha (think Baileys), cherry and amaretto. The Reposado & Anejo are classics made from specially grown "blue agave" cactus using traditional techniques both aged 8 years in oaken casks. The brand affords truly complex flavors that develop subtly as you drink. The aroma of the Reoposado & Anejo is pleasant & distinctive with gentle traces of moist oak. Both have temendous body & character with Anejo being perhaps smoother & Reposado having the edge on flavor albeit with a more stinging bite. However, unlike the sticky sweet Patrons, et al, this tequila does aford you the distinctive bite or kick associated with the classic beverage. Salt & lime are not considered proper to use and would totally mask the varied tastes. As with most alcohol, the better the purety, the lesser the unpleasant effects associated with over indulging. This product is extremely pure and certainly can be called one of if not the best. Make no mistake, you will feel the effects after 2 ounces but you will not suffer headache or other discomfort after a long night of cards, Habano tabak and beautiful senoritas. This tequila is 'the bomb' and a 'must do' experience at lease once in your life.

I was a bit disappointed in this bottle. This is the Proprietary Blend. It was really hyped to me, and was expecting at least a good wine. This is average!
I would be interested to hear what others have to say.
This wine just misses the mark!

Dry. Crisp. Very delicate and persistent floral & fruity aromas. Exactly what a great prosecco should taste. Better than most "sweet" prosecco. Perfect alternative to champagne when on a lower budget...!

This is a very surprising Pinot Grigio. It has more body than normal Pinot Grigio. Once the wine sits for a few minutes, it opens up and has great green apple and pear notes. Great price, definitely worth trying.

This wine is an amazing value. It is crisp & tantalizing when it hits the tongue and makes you feel like you have green apples, kiwi, pears and white nectarines rolling across your taste buds. This brand is known for making very good inexpensive champagnes and it almost reminds me of a bit of bubbly. For a second you almost think you have something sparkling in your mouth but the tiny bubbles disappear almost instantly. If you want a refreshing wine that can compliment any simple poultry, fish or pork dish you will be beyond pleased with this wine.

Appearance: Dark red with medium-high viscosity.
Nose: Intense chocolate, vanilla bean, raspberry, and marshamallow.
Palate: Sweet but not cloying. An even balance of mouth watering acidity followed by a lasting finish.
Conclusion: Confirming raspberry, chocolate and vanilla bean. The taste definitely held up to the nose. Did not think this wine could hold up to its nose but it did. Awesome dessert wine! Never tasted anything like it.

Spicey dried cherries and faint funkness of leather. Forest floor and all that B.S., it's hard to describe but the nose is definitely pinot. Clean and for the money and a winner. Some 5-spice -- watery but, still some soft tannins and nice balance. Notes of black licorice on the finish. Probably the best pinot i've had for $12.99.

Deep black almandine ruby with almandine rim. The bouquet is delicate, with airy berry fruit supported by savory sea salt, hints of sandalwood, and hardwood smoke. Inviting. On the palate it's it's medium bodied, and bright, with savory red berry fruit supported by deft acidity and clean slightly brambly tannins -- the wine is aged in large wood -- that flow into a clean slightly bitter savory finish. Deft and elegant, it will go quite well with grilled meats and foods that have smoky accents, and could also be pressed into service with succulent grilled fish. (Kyle Phillips's Italian Wine Review)

Impenetrable pigeon blood ruby with garnet rim. The bouquet is fairly rich, though in the air, with hardwood ash mingled with cedar and some oaky sweetness, and moderate berry fruit. On the palate it's full, and savory, with moderate fruit laced with sandalwood. The oak is a touch too predominate and overshadows the fruit, giving what a fellow taster calls "grip," but the fruit isn't as there as I'd have liked. It also suffered the vintage.

Smells sweet and very heavy, dense. Tastes like it saw a LOT of oak, or rather (at this price range), like a lot of vanilla essence and sugar was mixed in, then some oak chips plopped in the tank. One-dimensional and feels engineered to non-wine-drinkers. After all that trash talking though ... it is still very drinkable, just not my style.

grossly under valued. if this were a cab it would definitely be in the 90-92 point range. Great bouquet, Slightly tart but not acidity. Good finish. Fantastic with seafood. Better than a cakebread chardoney. Not a dry wine but not sweet. Doesn't have the spiders that a big cab would have. I could serve this with any meal. Goes great with fresh bread. Won't last mild tannins. drink now.

Lemons, vanilla oak, and honey on the nose.
Caramel, yeasty, bursting with lemons and necterines with a hint of toasted hazelnuts hiding in the background. Wildflower honey and light butterscotch candy on the finish.
After a few sips, I noticed a lot of tart granny smith apple
I am not one to liek a big over oaked chard and this one has a nice balance of a bit of creamy oakiness, without being overbearing.
For an ABC (anything but chardonnay) drinking, I'd buy it again.

Dark ruby. Possibly corked? Raisins, med/full body old oak and/or relatively older wine? Musty and raisiny flavors. No special finish, somewhat spicy.

Some vanilla, cherry, bit of spice maybe a clove or two on the nose. Smooth, nice balance, some finish too. All in all, i think i like it.
Not as wimpy and some of the 6 dollar horrible bottles we've had as of late.

Nose is light, cherries. Some bread/yeast action.
On the palette, a little bit of kick/structure but overly acidic. Very small finish. Even for 6.99, prbly better deals out.
I guess it's interesting if you have an Anne Rice thing going on.

This sounds bad ... but all i can say is "not horrible". For 5.99 this delivers something acceptable. Some salt/brine/olive action going on....
On a more positve note, not digusting over-oaked and fairly well balanced. Some length and some decent mouthfeel.
Not worth 10, but 6 is a good deal -

Rose petals and spice on the nose and palette. If you're a fan or dry rose's -- then hit this big time.

bitter, but if u can get over that not too bad. But still .... bad. Decent mouthfeel, some finish. Sucks, but 4.99 I think is reasonable.

I guess for Sonoma Appellation, this is prbly a pretty good deal. Not the hugest fan of Gallo but for the money this is pretty tasty.

Less refined Pinot Grigio than the norm. Aroma is strong yet not as sweet as other pinot grigios I've enjoyed in the past. Pinot Grigios usually taste fresh, fruity, and somewhat sweet, but this does not live up to this expectation. It leaves an acidic aftertaste in the mouth. Might taste better if paired with appropriate cuisine but not very impressive when sipped on its own.

Very smooth and mild taste. Easy to drink. I mistakenly had this wine with a pizza (with crushed red pepper), so the body of the wine was hard to grab. I recommend having it by itself, on a warm day.

I like it. Little to no after taste. This wine helped me make a couple of friends on the street. I had it while breaking up with my boyfriend. Nothing too exciting.

Smokey, watery mouthfeel, some cherry action + pretty tannic. Maybe could do well w/ a food but alone is not my thang.

Not bonny doons greatest effort, but still palatable. Tasted thin to me and lacking any fruit, almost more Bordeaux-y than a California Zinfandel.
That being said, this would pair better w/ food than most over-the-top zins.

Nice full bodied red w/ soft tannins. Good berry flavor and reminds me more of a napa cab than a bordeaux. But hey, what do i really know. Drink now. As in, immediately.
