Vinquire offers various services that do not require you to register for an account or provide any personal information. However, in order to provide our full range of services you are required to register for an account. When you sign up for a Vinquire account, we ask you for personal information (such as a username, email address, and account password). Vinquire is the sole owner of the information collected. We do not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this policy. For instances such as a wine review or forum post by a user, information may be published on the website, such as the user's nickname and/or their Vinquire activity history.

UPDATE (10/2007): With the introduction of public profiles Vinquire members now have the option to display/hide portions of their profile. By default, first names, last names, and email addresses are hidden from other users. These options can be changed on the My Profile page.

Vinquire Cookies

Vinquire uses session-based cookies to help perform various functionality on the web site, such as a wine or retailer search. These cookies are small files containing a string of characters that uniquely identifies the user's browser. We also use cookies to improve the quality of our service by storing user preferences and tracking user trends, such as how people search. We may share aggregated demographic information with 3rd parties in the case they would like to know aggregate demographics of our audience. The information shared is not linked to any of our users' personally identifiable information.

When you send email or other communication to Vinquire, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests, and improve our services. No piece of the communication will ever be published on our site or otherwise without the involved party's permission
