Hey, I agree, and nice little rhyme there.
BevMo is a great store to have in your neighborhood, although they can be a little crowded and slow to escape.

I just read up on that and it sounds pretty good. Looks like it's usually blended with sauv blanc, and it does sound pretty tasty on a warm day.
Here are some wines available for sale: Chasselas

RAP, that's great!
But maybe we should just keep this a secret? More demand for rosés will drive the prices up, and that's not cool :) I enjoy visiting a winery and picking up a rosé as one of their cheapest wines. I think their versatility and US price points make them the best value on the market.
But at the same time, the more popular they get, the better they will probably get. I guess I'm just being greedy.

Maybe it's just me, but I usually prefer to control the wine pouring myself. Some servers will pour too much wine into a glass or pour one member of a party much more or less wine. Maybe I'm just greedy.

I love Rosés unconditionally. It doesn't take a hot day, or even a mild day. It helps if you like whites in the first place, which I do.
To me it's just taking whites to another level. But of course, they are great on a nice warm day (with an ice cube?).

These wines will generally taste sweeter and are usually referred to as "dessert wines" in the US.

If you like Grove St., for the value, I highly recommend their meritage blend, called Trias. I think it's about $10-12 and it's pretty tasty. Here's a link to some reviews:

Thanks for the inquiry. At this time wines can only be added into the system by Vinquire admins. We hope to open this feature up in the future.
In theory, if a wine is sold/listed online by a US retailer or winery it should already be in the system. Wines from smaller producers that only sell their wine via walk-ins and word of mouth may need to be added in manually.
If you can't find a wine you want to review, please contact us and we can add it in for you.

We've recently added some new features to the search, including one that helps with spelling errors.
Appending search operators '*' or '~' (no quotes) to the end of any search term can help you locate wines when you don't know the exact spelling. The * is a wildcard (romb* chard will match "Rombauer Chardonnay"), while the ~ allows minor spelling errors in the term it's appended to (moton~ rothwild~ will match "Mouton Rothschild").
For more information on these features see the following blog post:

I just wanted to update this thread (a little late) to mention that we've added in the handful of popular and celebrated varietals that the Captain mentioned.

Caveman, thanks for the suggestion. This feature is definitely in production and coming soon.
We agree this will be a great way to share and learn about wine from other users. Also a way to collaborate on favorites, great values and wines to avoid.
Stay tuned!

Yeah, I was more going for the color of a red wine bottle. That said, I feel it needs enhancement, more contrast, and maybe a lighter feel all around. Stay tuned...

The key to food/wine pairing is to find a balance, as the food should compliment the wine and visa versa.
So I did a search at nataliemaclean.com (great site for researching food/wine pairing) and found the following wines go well with LASAGNE:
* Barbaresco
* Beaujolais
* Bordeaux Pomerol
* Cabernet Franc Full-Bodied
* Cabernet Sauvignon New World
* Chianti
* Chianti Classico
* Cotes-Du-Rhone
* Dolcetto
* Merlot
* Montepulciano D''abruzzo
* Pinot Noir
* Ribera Del Duero
* Rioja
* Syrah
Then I found wines recommended to go with LAMB:
* Cabernet Sauvignon Old World/bordeaux
* Cahors
* Chianti
* Corbieres
* Rioja
* Tempranillo
The wines in common:
* Cabernet Sauvignon (depends)
* Chianti
* Rioja
I found other sites suggesting to pair lamb with a spicy red wine, such as Bordeaux or Cabernet Sauvignon. But if the dish is on the milder side, pair it with a Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Medoc, or Beaujolais. I would go with the first group as your lasagne probably pack a punch flavor-wise. Some would even go as far as to say "flavor-country". However, the rosemary would lead me more towards a Pinot Noir, for the earthiness factor.
Also a side note is to not add mint jelly to lamb. (I know you're doing lasagne this time :) They say it not only spoils the dish in general, wine pairing at that point would be useless.
So let us know what you choose and how it works out. Hope you have a great meal!

Thanks for your question. On the wine search results page, each wine "hit" you see is a wine we found for sale at an online wine retailer. You can click on the retailer link to go to that site to buy that wine.
When you see many wines with the same exact name it's usually because it's a popular wine, hence, many retailers are selling it.
The reason some of the wine names vary is because wineries will usually make more than one wine for a given varietal, depending on, for instance, where the grapes were grown. It's a good idea to have the bottle in hand during your review, or at least jot the name down so you can be more specific in your search if need be.
Thanks again, and let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for your inquiry; this is a good question and we are currently working on a solution. Unfortunately, at this time you cannot review every wine in our ever growing database of wines for sale. This is because we're not sure if those wines (that aren't reviewable) were retreived correctly—namely, wines that are rare or only sold at one merchant may have this problem.
The root of the problem is that in the future, when we "re-crawl" the web looking for new wines, those less common wine names may disssapear, hence, your review would dissappear as well. Hopefully, within a month you will be able to review EVERY wine in our database regardless of how rare it is.
In general, if you are looking to review/discuss a particular wine, sorting your wine search results by "Relevancy" should produce the most accurate results. If there are many similar wine names displayed try being more specific by adding more terms to your search.

Hi there,
Thanks for the feedback regarding the homepage and navigation. We're working on ways to make the reviews more accessible, as well as changing/removing areas that appear to be links.
To find wine reviews, first find the wine you are looking to review or read reviews. Then access that wine's information page to review that wine.
Thanks again!

I'm just curious if I need to be decanting every single bottle I drink, or if it's specific wine vintages or varietals that need this treatment?
