1Lamb lasagna and ???
I make a wicked lamb and rosemary lasagna. What would you recommend as a wine complement?

The key to food/wine pairing is to find a balance, as the food should compliment the wine and visa versa.
So I did a search at nataliemaclean.com (great site for researching food/wine pairing) and found the following wines go well with LASAGNE:
* Barbaresco
* Beaujolais
* Bordeaux Pomerol
* Cabernet Franc Full-Bodied
* Cabernet Sauvignon New World
* Chianti
* Chianti Classico
* Cotes-Du-Rhone
* Dolcetto
* Merlot
* Montepulciano D''abruzzo
* Pinot Noir
* Ribera Del Duero
* Rioja
* Syrah
Then I found wines recommended to go with LAMB:
* Cabernet Sauvignon Old World/bordeaux
* Cahors
* Chianti
* Corbieres
* Rioja
* Tempranillo
The wines in common:
* Cabernet Sauvignon (depends)
* Chianti
* Rioja
I found other sites suggesting to pair lamb with a spicy red wine, such as Bordeaux or Cabernet Sauvignon. But if the dish is on the milder side, pair it with a Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Medoc, or Beaujolais. I would go with the first group as your lasagne probably pack a punch flavor-wise. Some would even go as far as to say "flavor-country". However, the rosemary would lead me more towards a Pinot Noir, for the earthiness factor.
Also a side note is to not add mint jelly to lamb. (I know you're doing lasagne this time :) They say it not only spoils the dish in general, wine pairing at that point would be useless.
So let us know what you choose and how it works out. Hope you have a great meal!

Maybe I should just splash some "cab" on top of the lasagna and then wash it all down with the "Rioja"? ha!
Thanks for the awesome input, and I will definitely let you know how it all turns out. Meaning, if I still have friends by the end of the evening...

I know it's probably a bit late, but I've had great success with lamb burgers and Malbec.
