1Why is Cline Winery so awesome?

Dunno if ppl agree w/ this or not, but i think Cline in general makes amazing wine for the "around 10 dollar" range.

Definately a step above others in the price range.

I have to say I agree - while not terribly exciting (save the Jacuzzi label and some single vineyard designates), you get great bang for the buck.

There are also some good under $20 wines they produce that are readily available at mass retailers, which makes finding a good wine when you are away from home easy.

Ok next comment on Cline ...

Does anybody have a retailer that consistently stocks something besides the Cline Zins???

I have tried multiple bottles of Cline and always thought them to be pretty consistent "bargain" style wines - but as of late, all the big retailers only seem to stock the zins. Weird.

BevMo! They usually have at least 2 syrahs (the everyday adn the Cool Climate) as well as the zins.

I can usually find them at Cost Plus as well.

I would say it is their dedication to quality winemaking, Rhone varietals and ancient vines.

We're gonna have to bring in some Cline bottles for the next tasting and see if this all stands up to "scientific research".

I will checkout BevMo and see what they have. According to our search engine (looking at only chain stores):

Safeway (of all places) actually has some winners as well.

I gotta disagree here folks. Cline is acceptable, but that is where the party ends-- and which one are we talking about? They make multiple zins, some of which are not all that hot.

Bulk wine is bulk wine is .... no? Of course, some of there stuff is estate but the cheap stuff is not, and there's not much differentiation at that point.

The Viognier is also quite good, though I prefer John Alban's for a few bucks more.
