Spectator gets so much traction from their list that it was only a matter of time until other publications got in on the action. The San Francisco Chronicle has a Top 100 of 2007 (with no scores only tasting notes). Wine.com's Top 100 is based solely how many bottles were sold from their online store. Not to be outdone, Wine Enthusiast makes not only a Top 100, but a Top 100 best buys in a monster PDF that would be so much nicer as an normal web page.
Does Vinquire make a Top 100 list? Of Course! It's our Top Ranked page, which is constantly updated with your reviewed wines. But for this blog, we're ready to just summarize what the big wigs of the industry think. Reproduced here are some of these lists with direct links to find the best prices.
Happy Holidays!

Wow, that is a huge list. Too bad so many are beyond my price range.

I noticed a lot of the wines in the wine.com list are recognizable bottles at pretty reasonable price points. Maybe that's because it's a list of top sellers vs. top rated, but I think most of them are worth a try if you haven't already. I have my sights set on a few and I'll be sure to follow it up with a review of each bottle.

If anyone needs help or information finding any of these wines, especially the smaller production releases, please send me an email or give me a call.
I see most of these wines at some point over the course of the year. The trick to obtaining them is to own them before they hit print (which usually happens about 3-6 months after the wines are sold out). Obtaining regular offenders (i.e. wines which appear in the Top 100 vintage after vintage) will require some planning, and probably a bit of cash too, but we can get them.

Some interesting price differences between these lists and my recent retail sightings ie Chave Selection Mon Coeur seems to run $23 not 18. (I know time & the euro can do that!)Conundrum under $20 is a steal.
